Destination Travel with The Blue Quill Angler
As the summer season winds down here in Colorado, we look forward to exploring new destinations and experiencing some of the world’s finest fly fishing. The Blue Quill Angler’s Destination Travel Program takes us to some truly special places, offering what we like to call a “trip of a lifetime.”
Kim and I recently returned from an amazing trip to Alaska with the folks at Alaska Sportsman’s Lodge. We had such a great time that we’ve already booked our week for next season!
I’m especially excited about our upcoming trip to Belize, and believe it or not, we still have a few spots available for November 27–December 5, 2026. El Pescador Lodge, located on beautiful Ambergris Caye just off the coast of the mainland of Belize, is one of the country’s premier saltwater fishing destinations and offers an outstanding flats fishing experience.
Belize is home to some of the finest saltwater flats fishing in the world, and El Pescador puts you right in the middle of it. Whether you’re stalking tailing fish on foot or sight-casting from the bow of a boat, the crystal-clear waters provide incredible opportunities for anglers of all skill levels. You’ll have the chance to pursue a coveted Grand Slam of bonefish, tarpon, and permit, all while fishing with experienced local guides, many of whom come from generations of fishing families.
Trip Details
Anglers should plan to arrive in Belize City on November 28, 2026. From Belize City, the group will take a short, 15-minute regional flight to San Pedro. Upon arrival, lodge representatives will meet the group at the airport and transport everyone to the lodge via a 15-minute boat ride.
After six days of fishing, the group will depart the lodge and fly home on Saturday, December 5, 2026.
